Till My Last Breath I Will Praise the Lord

How I Created My Psalm 146:2 Canva Template

Introduction

Faith has always been one of the most meaningful parts of my life. Whether through prayer, reflection, journaling, or content creation, I enjoy finding ways to express my relationship with God and share encouraging messages with others. One of the most beautiful aspects of faith is that it can be expressed not only through words but also through creativity.

As a blogger and content creator, I often combine my love for faith with my passion for design. Creating inspirational graphics and scripture templates allows me to share messages that inspire hope, gratitude, and devotion. Sometimes a simple Bible verse displayed beautifully can touch someone’s heart and remind them of God’s love.

Recently, I created a faith-based template using the Canva app inspired by Psalm 146:2. The quote I designed says:

“Till my last breath I will praise the Lord.”

Psalm 146:2 reminds believers that praise should be part of our entire life journey. It is a declaration that our devotion to God continues throughout every moment of our lives.

This blog post shares the inspiration behind the verse and explains how I created my Canva template step by step. The design combines meaningful colors and symbols, including a magenta background, a white circle shape, a black butterfly, a turquoise rose, and pink lettering for the scripture quote.

The design is simple but meaningful, and every element contributes to the message of praise and devotion.

The Meaning of Psalm 146:2

Psalm 146 is a beautiful chapter in the Book of Psalms that focuses on praising God. The verse reads:

“I will praise the Lord all my life; I will sing praise to my God as long as I live.”

This verse expresses a lifelong commitment to worship. It reminds us that praise is not limited to moments of celebration but should continue throughout our entire life.

The phrase “Till my last breath I will praise the Lord” captures this idea perfectly. It emphasizes that worship does not end when life becomes challenging. Instead, our faith remains strong and steadfast.

For believers, praise becomes a way of acknowledging God’s goodness, mercy, and guidance.

Even during difficult seasons, remembering to praise God can bring peace and strength.

Inspiration Behind My Canva Template

When I decided to create a scripture template for my blog and Pinterest content, I wanted something that reflected both beauty and devotion.

Many faith-based designs include calming colors, nature-inspired elements, and elegant typography. I wanted my design to feel uplifting while still keeping the scripture as the main focus.

My goal was to create a template that felt joyful and hopeful, reminding viewers that praise is something we carry with us throughout our entire life.

The combination of colors and design elements helps visually communicate that message.

Creating the Template in Canva

The Canva app makes it easy to create beautiful designs, even for people who are not professional graphic designers.

Using Canva allows creators to choose from many shapes, fonts, and decorative elements while keeping designs organized and visually balanced.

When designing this template, I focused on five main design components.

Each component was chosen carefully to enhance the message of the scripture.

Step One: Choosing the Magenta Background

The first step in my template creation was selecting the magenta background.

Magenta is a bold and vibrant color that represents passion, joy, and creativity. It immediately captures attention and creates an energetic atmosphere.

In this design, the magenta background symbolizes enthusiasm for praising God. It reflects the idea that worship should come from the heart with sincerity and joy.

The background also provides strong contrast so that the lighter elements in the design stand out clearly.

Step Two: Adding the White Circle Shape

Next, I added a white circle shape to the center of the design.

The white circle acts as a frame for the scripture quote. It allows the text to stand out while creating balance in the composition.

White often symbolizes purity, peace, and spiritual clarity. It represents the holiness and perfection of God.

The circular shape also adds softness to the layout, making the design feel calm and harmonious.

This circle becomes the focal point of the template where the scripture message is displayed.

Step Three: Placing the Black Butterfly

One of the most meaningful design elements I included was the black butterfly.

Butterflies are often associated with transformation and renewal. In Christian symbolism, the butterfly represents spiritual rebirth and new life.

Just as a butterfly emerges from its cocoon transformed, believers are called to grow spiritually through faith.

The black color adds contrast and elegance to the design. It stands out beautifully against the magenta background and white circle.

The butterfly also adds movement and life to the composition, making the design feel more dynamic.

Step Four: Adding the Turquoise Rose

The next design element I incorporated was the turquoise rose.

Flowers are often used in inspirational designs because they represent beauty, growth, and love.

The rose, in particular, symbolizes devotion and gratitude.

Turquoise is a calming color associated with peace and healing. Adding the turquoise rose balances the brightness of the magenta background and introduces a refreshing natural element.

The rose also reinforces the theme of love and devotion toward God.

Step Five: Writing the Scripture Quote in Pink Font

The final step was adding the scripture quote:

“Till my last breath I will praise the Lord” — Psalm 146:2

The quote appears in pink font, which complements the magenta background while still standing out clearly.

Pink represents compassion, warmth, and joy. It creates a gentle and uplifting tone that matches the spiritual message of the verse.

I selected a script-style font to make the text feel elegant and expressive.

The goal was to make the scripture feel like the heart of the design.

Why Scripture Graphics Matter

Faith-based graphics can be powerful tools for encouragement.

In today’s digital world, many people discover inspirational messages through blogs, Pinterest posts, and social media content.

A beautifully designed scripture graphic can remind someone of God’s love during a difficult moment.

It can inspire reflection, prayer, or gratitude.

When shared online, these visuals have the potential to reach people around the world.

Creativity as a Form of Worship

Creating this template reminded me that creativity can be a form of worship.

God is the ultimate creator, and when we create something meaningful, we reflect that creative spirit.

Designing scripture graphics is not just about aesthetics; it is about sharing truth and encouragement.

Every color, shape, and symbol in the template contributes to a message of praise.

When someone sees the graphic and reads the verse, it becomes an invitation to reflect on God’s goodness.

Living a Life of Praise

Psalm 146:2 reminds us that praise should not be limited to certain moments.

It is something we carry with us every day.

Praising God can happen through prayer, gratitude, music, kindness, and creative expression.

Even simple acts of appreciation can become forms of worship.

The phrase “Till my last breath I will praise the Lord” encourages believers to stay faithful throughout their entire lives.

Conclusion

Creating this Canva template inspired by Psalm 146:2 was a meaningful creative experience.

The magenta background, white circle shape, black butterfly, turquoise rose, and pink scripture font all work together to create a design that reflects praise and devotion.

Through this design, the message of lifelong worship becomes both visual and inspirational.

The verse reminds us that our faith journey continues throughout every stage of life.

And with every breath we take, we have another opportunity to praise the Lord.
